A minor boy and girl from Virar jumped into the sea at Arnala, creating a stir in the area.

A 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl from Virar jumped into the sea at Arnala. Fortunately, the locals managed to save the girl. So, the boy was said to have been swept away by the strong current of water. It is under investigation. According to the information received, the parents of both the children reported to the local police station that they had run away from home. After this, the police traced both the children and handed them over to their parents. However, these two also escaped from the police station and jumped into the sea. This incident happened on Saturday.

According to information received, both the children are residents of a housing society in Virar. However, since both were missing for the past few days, their parents lodged a complaint at the Arnala police station. After this, the police found them and called their parents to the police station. While the parents were completing the formalities at the police station, both the boy and girl got out and ran to the nearby beach and jumped into the water. Alert locals managed to get the girl out. But the boy was swept away by the strong current of water. His search is on.
